LEADERSHIP

  • Matt and his wife Carly both grew up in the Triad. This is where the Lord saved them, grew them, introduced them to each other, and established their family. They have been blessed with 4 beautiful children - 2 girls and 2 boys. The early years of ministry consisted of inner-city Bible studies and sharing the gospel through the art of hip-hop. Through several years of pastoral ministry, Matt’s love for the church has continued to grow. In August 2022, he joined the staff of King’s Cross Church in Greensboro, NC with the goal of being sent out to plant.

    His desire is to see Jesus prized and proclaimed in the city of High Point and to the ends of the earth. In addition to other pastoral responsibilities, Matt gives special attention to preaching and pouring into other leaders. In his free time, he loves to hang out with family, play sports, practice guitar and make hip-hop music. He currently holds an M.Div in Christian Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary

  • Preston was saved by the wonderful grace of God at a young age through the witness of godly parents and the local church. He grew up in the Jamestown/High Point area, attending Southwest Guilford Middle School and High Point Christian Academy for high school. Through the years, his love for God's people has continued to grow through life in the local church.

    Preston went to dental school at UNC Chapel Hill where he graduated with a DDS degree in 2018. He now practices as a dentist in High Point. In moving back to the Triad, he joined King's Cross Church. During this time, he completed KCC’s Aspire program and felt the Lord continually calling him towards lay pastoral ministry. God called Preston to King's Church as he heard the vision of the church plant in High Point. Throughout the years, he has been involved in leading small groups, campus ministries, and mission trips. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

    Preston joined King's Church to help people from all backgrounds treasure Jesus the way he deserves.

    He loves spending time with his daughter, Raelyn – reading books, coloring pictures, or having dance parties. In his free time he is learning how to play the guitar and play pickleball. He loves to hunt, workout, travel, and read.
