WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST
We are sinners who have been rescued by Jesus Christ. As a church, we have a unity that can only be explained by Jesus. We come from different backgrounds and cultures, but we are united in the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So when we gather, we do so to prize and proclaim the excellencies of the one who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. We’d love to share with you more about this Good News we hold so dearly.
We’d Love to meet you
We want to help you know what to expect on your first Sunday.
Below are some frequently asked questions for those visiting for the first time.
-
We gather to prize and proclaim the excellencies of Jesus. In our time together we sing God's praises, offer our prayers, hear God's word preached, and celebrate the Lord's Supper. After the service, you'll notice many folks hanging around to talk about the sermon and catch up after a long week.
-
Our services center around the preaching of God's word. We normally work through a book of the Bible, preaching the meaning of the passage and applying it to our hearts. All of our elders preach throughout the course of the year.
-
The Bible commands us to sing! This is for our joy and God's glory. We sing songs that are biblically faithful, often proclaiming the truths we'll encounter in the sermon. As a church of people from different cultural backgrounds, we sing a range of songs from various cultural expressions. Yet, no matter the style, the substance is the gospel.
-
We have a diversity of people who attend our services and are grateful to have a variety of dress. Many folks dress casually and some dress more formally. We encourage you to come as you are.
-
We love the children among us! They are gift from the Lord. On Sunday, some parents choose to have their little ones in the service with us, and we happily encourage their presence. It's okay! We understand a little wiggling!
We do provide KC Kids nursery for Birth-4 during our services. Check in begins at 9:45am. We take your child's safety seriously, so our nursery is staffed by approved volunteers who have been background checked, trained, and have a heart for children. During KC Kids, your child will have plenty of time to play, will be prayed for by name, and taught a story from the Bible. Parents will receive a take-home sheet of what was taught during the Bible story.
